WHAT IF IT RAINS OR HIGH WINDS?

Most of our inflatableshave built-in shower covers (please check items when making booking), so a shower or two is no problem. If the weather is going to be too bad (heavy rain/high winds), bubble & Bounce do not charge for cancellations. Bubble & Bounce will phone a few days before your booking to confirm booking details and check theweatheris OK.

Delivery

WHAT TIME WILL YOU INSTALL/PACK DOWN?

Bubble & Bounce deliver from 7am and will arrange a delivery time with you a few days before yourbooking. Bubble & Bounce generally deliver to domestic booking first, then move onto hall/venues later into the day. If you have specific times to operate to Bubble & Bounce will arrange our bookings around you. We can’t always confirm delivery logistics when youbook, as we will need to arrange our deliveries geographically.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SET UP AND PACK AWAY?

On average it takes between 15 and 20 minutes to set up a Bubble & Bounce itemand about 15 to 20 minutes to pack away, more than 1 item will take 10 minutes per item thereafter. Despite an average set up/pack away taking 15-20 minutes, Bubble & Bounce require a minimum 1hr set up/pack away window. Let us know if you have a shorter window.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE YOU ARRIVE?

Bubble & Bounce itemsare delivered on a sack barrow, so we need clear access for this (at least 3ft).Make sure paths and access to your set up location are free of obstacles. We carry 20m extension cables so the item must be within 20m of a power supply – customer would need to supply further extension cables. You should also check that the area is free of debris, and clear up after any animals that you have had in your garden.

Set Up & Pack Down

HOW MUCH CLEARANCE DO YOU NEED TO INSTALL AN INFLATABLE?

There should be 4ft at the front and back of the bouncy castle and a minimum of 3ft each side. You should prune overhanging trees or shrubs before arrival.

CAN AN INFLATABLE BE SET UP INDOORS?

Yes, we can set up inflatables indoors in venues such as school halls, community centres, village halls, nurseries, and churches. We provide sand bags in these situations to secure the units.

CAN AN INFLATABLE BE SET UP FROM APARTMENT FLATS?

Yes, we can set up inflatables in communal area or hard to get too areas. In this scenario we require you the customer to install 13amp extension/s to the point of set up. When we arrive to set up the power will be in place to start our installation.

CAN AN INFLATABLE BE SET UP ACROSS A PATH OR ROAD?

Yes, we can set up inflatables across a path or road. It is the customers responsibility to notify us so when can install the safety wire covers to ensure health and safety is met. If we are not notified your event will be cancelled. Please note a fee may apply for the wire cover.

DO WE SUPPLY EXTENSION CABLES?

Yes, we supply 20m extension cable has standard for all inflatable items.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO SET UP THE UNIT?

All you need is a relatively flat, open area with no overhead limitations and a power outlet nearby. Ensure all walkway is clear of obstruction.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SET UP AND TAKE IT DOWN?

Set up time varies dependant on selected model, but typically, a bounce castle/inflatable can be set up within 15 minutes. Often, parents are amazed that they’ll be fully inflated in about 2 minutes.

While the Inflatable Is Up & Running

DOES AN ADULT SUPERVISOR NEED TO BE PRESENT?

For the safety of your children, it is highly advisable to supervise them while they are on the inflatable. You will need to limit the number of children on the inflatable, monitor their behaviour, and make sure the big kids don’t over knock over the little ones.

WHAT ARE THE RULES WHEN USING AN INFLATABLE?

Generally, no shoes or sharp objects (e.g. exposed metal zippers, hair clips, etc.) are allowed. Avoid rough play (e.g. wrestling, hanging onto the netting, flipping). Anyone with medical conditions should not enter (including pregnant women). Eating or drinking inside the inflatable is not advised. Keep children away from the blower. Ensure the electrical source is safe and stable before use.

CAN WE MOVE THE ITEM?

For insurance and safety reasons once the item has been delivered and installed and the Bubble & Bounce delivery team have left, it must not be moved under any circumstances.

WILL THE INFLATABLE HARM MY LAWN OR INDOOR SURFACE?

No, during casual usage, the inflatable will not harm your lawn/indoor surface. To ensure minimal damage, ask the delivery crew to install a ground sheet beneath the inflatable. Ground stakes will leave 2cm holes in the lawn will pegged down.

CAN ADULTS GO ON THE INFLATABLE?

The manufacturer suggests a total maximum total weight and an individual maximum weight. However, if adults enter to monitor young toddlers or to take pictures, it should be fine. Use common sense. Residential inflatables are made of quality materials so the manufacturer’s recommendations are just a guideline. Would recommend hiring a adult inflatable if you think adults would like to get involved in the fun.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RUN AN INFLATABLE?

It will costs between £1-£2 to run an inflatable all day.

Booking Times

HOW LONG CAN I KEEP THE ITEM?

Bubble and Bounce like to have all deliveries completed early in the morning so that you get a full days hire. Our collections are between 5pm and 7pm if you want a later collection you will need to have an overnight booking (would need to be in secure location). We don’t pack away after dark as it is harder to pack away when we can’t see all the equipment and breaks our insurance condition. When you make your booking, we will talk about collection times and check the time of your party to make sure your collection fits around your arrangements.

Insurance

WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE?

Bubble & Bounce have a 10 million public liability insurance policy which would cover accidents which were our fault, such as equipment failure or failing to install a unit properly. The hirer is responsible for ensuring that there is adult supervision of the unit and equipment, and the supervision of people using it, at all times. Bubble and Bounce do provide a supervision hire service.

Last Minute Bookings

CAN I BOOK AT THE LAST MINUTE?

7 times out of 10 Bubble & Bounce can accommodate last minute bookings. In the summer months we recommend booking in advance, and for bank holiday weekends, you should book well in advance as bouncy castles and inflatables are in massive demand. Please note a surcharge is charged for booking on the day.

Selection

HOW CAN I PICK THE RIGHT INFLATABLE FOR MY FAMILY?

When shopping for a bounce castle/inflatable, pay attention to your family’s level of activity, environmental set-up limitations and product features. Some units are strictly for bouncing and that’s all you want. Then get the largest floor you can. If your kids like to run through obstacle courses and slide, then consider an assault course unit with built in climbing walls, tall slides and soft play ball pits for the toddlers.

Blower Fans

A THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT BLOWER FANS

Yes, the blower is required to keep the bouncy castle/inflatable inflated. The unit is typically no louder than a hair dryer. For small confined areas we can supply a blower fan cover, this will dampen the sound. When play is over, make sure everyone has exited the bouncy castle/inflatable, turn off the blower fan, and the inflatable will collapse onto itself.

ARE HISSING SOUNDS COMING FROM OUR BOUNCY CASTLE SEAMS NORMAL?

Yes. The inflatable blower fan continuously pumps air into the inflatable while it’s in use, the hissing sound is the air escaping through the seams.

Payment Terms

Deposit can be paid via bank transfer or online via a link. A 30-50% deposit is required to secure the event date. The remaining balance payments should be paid cash on delivery unless alternative arrangements have been made with the event co-ordinator. We accept payment by cheque, cheque payments would need to be paid 7 days prior or 10 days after the event booking date.
