How to Make Italian Bacon Cheesy Rotini in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
A while back, I made this Crock Pot Cheesy Rotini. It was a huge hit in this house! The kids wanted more than just a little sprinkling of the Italian bread crumbs though…and we love bacon, so it got me thinking! I bet you guys will enjoy this recipe in your houses as much as we do!
Ingredients for Italian Crock Pot Bacon Cheesy Rotini
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 10.75 oz can Cheddar cheese soup
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 16 oz pkg Velveeta (or half of a 32 oz pkg)
- 16 oz box rotini pasta, cooked
- 12 oz pkg bacon, fried and crumbled
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups Italian bread crumbs
Italian Crock Pot Bacon Cheesy Rotini Notes:
- I used my 9 x13 casserole slow cooker made by Crock Pot to make this dish, but you can use a traditional 4 quart slow cooker.
- If you really like Italian bread crumbs (like we do around here), you can use 1 1/2 cups of the bread crumbs, but if you just want some, you can sprinkle on a cup or less. It is completely up to you! Whatever you think your family would like best! I love the flavoring that the bread crumbs give to this recipe!
- With two cloves of garlic, you get a nice addition to flavor, but if you absolutely love garlic, you could probably add another clove without it being overpowering.

- All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes shouldalways be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.
