How to Make Italian Bacon Cheesy Rotini in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

A while back, I made this Crock Pot Cheesy Rotini. It was a huge hit in this house! The kids wanted more than just a little sprinkling of the Italian bread crumbs though…and we love bacon, so it got me thinking! I bet you guys will enjoy this recipe in your houses as much as we do!

Ingredients for Italian Crock Pot Bacon Cheesy Rotini

  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 10.75 oz can Cheddar cheese soup
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 16 oz pkg Velveeta (or half of a 32 oz pkg)
  • 16 oz box rotini pasta, cooked
  • 12 oz pkg bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups Italian bread crumbs

Italian Crock Pot Bacon Cheesy Rotini Notes:

  • I used my 9 x13 casserole slow cooker made by Crock Pot to make this dish, but you can use a traditional 4 quart slow cooker.
  • If you really like Italian bread crumbs (like we do around here), you can use 1 1/2 cups of the bread crumbs, but if you just want some, you can sprinkle on a cup or less. It is completely up to you! Whatever you think your family would like best! I love the flavoring that the bread crumbs give to this recipe!
  • With two cloves of garlic, you get a nice addition to flavor, but if you absolutely love garlic, you could probably add another clove without it being overpowering.
