MEDICA Medicare Plans with Part D Coverage
Our plan offers two ways to get a long-term supply of drugs on the formulary: Through your network pharmacy, or through mail order. Tier 5 specialty drugs are limited to a 30-day supply.(This information is specific to the Medica plans listed below.)

How to order a new prescription
- Ask your doctor for up to a 30-day supply of the medication on one prescription. This lets you try the drug to make sure it works for you.
- Also ask your doctor to write a second prescription for up to a 90-day supply of the same medication. You can fill your second prescription after you and your doctor know the medication is right for you. Just bring the prescription to a participating retail pharmacy and present your Medica ID card.In most cases, our plan will cover 90-day refills except for Tier 5 specialty drugs.
- Your pharmacist will fill the prescription, and you'll pay the amount you owe.

Mail order
Mail order is a convenient alternative compared to repeat trips to your pharmacy. In some cases, you may pay less for your drugs through mail order. We also offer an automatic refill program to make it easy to receive a continuous supply of your medications. Our mail order pharmacy will call you prior to shipping each refill.
