DIETA CARIOGÉNICA

Una dieta sana es sinónimo de una boca sana.

La dieta cariogénica es aquella de consistencia blanda y pegajosa con alto contenido de hidratos de carbono, especialmente azúcares fermentables como la sacarosa, que se deposita con facilidad en las superficies dentarias, aumentando con ello el riesgo de caries.

Una dieta correcta es de gran importancia para la prevención de caries, al igual que un buen cepillado para eliminar restos de comida y bacterias.

Desde Odontic 😉 recomendamos reducir la ingesta de azúcares y aumentar la de frutas y verduras.

No debemos olvidar que un incremento en azúcares no solo supondrá un mayor riesgo de cariessino también mayor tendencia a padecer obesidad y una predisposición en adultos a sufrir enfermedades como la diabetes.
